We are always on the lookout for people with talent, desire, thoughtfulness, drive, intelligence, commitment, prudence, financial resources, and expertise. We can find use for a variety of skills and talents. The time and resources you give to the DSIC are turned into programs to support Downtown by beautifying public spaces, erecting maps and information stations, executing new and exciting programs for education and entertainment and increasing the reasons that make Downtown a destination for thousands each week.

Have a band that needs space to perform? Have a project that could use some attention? Looking to sell some product in a revitalized retail district? Bring us your energy and your willingness to get things done and we'll let you know how we can help.

Need to Volunteer? We can put you to work!

If you have the time and interest, we can find work for you! We need volunteers to do everything from plant our flowers to develop our marketing plans. From our Board of Directors to our Committee Chairs to the college students who pull weeds and plant flower bulbs, we are an organization driven by volunteers.

Don't have much time? How about an hour or two a month? Consider serving on one of our committees, or work with our businesses!

Only available at certain times of the year? No problem. We have an event or two that can always use someone like you!

Corporate Donations

If your company wants to build an event that they host or sponsor, we can help find a venue, coordinate efforts and uncover resources to make it an event to remember. If you want greater awareness in the Schenectady area but are unsure of the outreach options, contact us and we will let you know what events are being planned and are available for corporate sponsorship.

We will work with you to create a reasonable but high-impact event for your business.
